Continuing Medical Education (CME) Help
The following questions and answers are provided to assist users with the NeoReviews Online Continuing Medical Education (CME) capabilities. If you have a question not covered below, please prep{at}aap.org and include the words "CME Help" in the subject line of your message.
Credit in NeoReviews Online is granted on a per-issue basis (1.5 credits per completed issue). In order to earn CME credits, you must be a subscriber to NeoReviews, take all the quizzes for a particular issue, and then Submit the issue for credit.
Once you have submitted a completed issue for credit, you will receive an email confirmation and your CME Summary Page will be updated to reflect the credits earned.
In NeoReviews, there are "preferred" answers, not strictly correct answers. When you submit a particular quiz (one of the quizzes within an issue), these preferred responses are highlighted in yellow, and a link provided to text within the article with relevance to the preferred response.
You only need to complete all the quizzes for an issue to receive CME credit. After you've submitted a quiz, you will see your own answer to each question as compared to the preferred answer. You will also have the opportunity to view the text of the article which refers to the preferred answer. You do not need to earn a particular score to receive CME credit; however, if you would like to change your answers use the "Back" button on your web browser to return to the quiz, change your answers, and re-submit the quiz. When you are satisfied with your answers and have viewed the preferred answers, you may return to the CME Summary page by clicking on the CME Summary link at the bottom of the page.
We have attempted to identify the area of the article that is relevant to the preferred response. In some cases, the red highlighted text has direct relevance to the preferred response. In other cases, the red highlighted text serves merely to indicate that a longer passage in its vicinity conveys important information about the topic, often yielding the preferred response after a complete reading.
The American Academy of Pediatrics is an accredited provider of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Our complete accreditation statement can be accessed, and shows the other credits for this CME program.
