In 2010, we commemorated our 10th anniversary of NeoReviews by collecting previously published Historical Perspectives into a book titled “Milestones in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.”

The past decade was one of substantial growth for NeoReviews. At this time, I would like to acknowledge the important contribution made by one of the founding editors, Dr Bill Hay. We all owe him a debt of gratitude. He was responsible for setting the tone of the journal, maintaining that it should have a strong academic flavor and not become a chat room. Until the present time, he has continued as coeditor, but he now relinquishes this position.
